Welcome to the Sparta Advent Christian Church
Serving God in the Highland community, and through out the world!

This was a day of labor for all.  Each in very diverse and exacting places.

One crew continued to work with the local family for whom we are providing electricity.

Another crew went to work helping a family prepare to move into some better surroundings and get out of the situation they found themselves in.

While others remained in the compound laying tile, working on VBS crafts, and various other projects that needed to be done.

Then we went to VBS where we found even more local children eager to come in and learn about Jesus.

Johnathan hooking up the wires to the new distribution pannel we provided for a local families home. This is the same family we visited over the past couple of days.

David running wire.

Dana working on the electrical overhaul for a local family.

Kaylee and Felicia playing with a couple of local children.

Kaylee's bright and contagious smile.

The local children are really drawn to our teenage contingent.  Partly because Kaylee and Felicia know how to project God's love to these little ones but also because they are normally taken care of by older siblings or cousins on a day-to-day baisis.  This is done so that the parents and oldest children can work and support the extended family.  With the average monthly income down here being less than some of our viedo game expenses it is impairative that all members of the family chip in.

Flora, Jan, and Shirleen in the kitchen.

Shirleen is the senior member of this contingent and the only one who is not a member of the Sparta AC Church.  She was sent on this trip as the representative of the Willow Grove Advent Christian Church in Mount Liberty where she sits on thier board and is involved with WH&FMS.  This is her first mission to a foreign land but she is taking to it like a pro.

Shirleen deserves a very special place in all of our hearts since she is our chief cook, motherly figure, and the children really seem to flock to her at VBS.  Our prayer is that more and more of the churches around Ohio and beyond consider sending people and support to 99+1 Ministries.

Jan with her imported bottle of water surveying her subjects from her throne.

Jesse and Kaylee delivering our special order hammock chairs. These chairs are the most popular things on the compound short of the water cooler. Jesse allowed us to custom order what we wanted to take back to Ohio. Jesse made 11 chairs by hand over two days for us. She is another local person who has come to know the saving grace of Jesus through 99+1.

Quenten and Dana anchoring the other end of the rope for a tug-o-war. With Johnathan on one end it is only fair to have two gringos on this end.

Johnathan and Kaylee's crew seem to be walking away with the tug-o-war.

Our VBS attendence continues to grow daily. Today it grew by another 20 little ones who bless us as much as we are allowed to bless them.
