Welcome to the Sparta Advent Christian Church
Serving God in the Highland community, and through out the world!

Today we started out joining several pastors, both native and American, with a food distribution route that they do on a regular basis.

We met at the Baptist Missions Church, prayed for God's glorification, and for this food to heal souls as well as bodies.  As you will see below we had great success, litterally beat back Satan at his own gate, and saw half a dozen local people dedicate their lives to the Lord.

Afterwards we went to the site of the new orphanage and surveyed the progress, prayed over the land and workers, and held some very special services on site.

After lunch we went to help a local family that was just a little past desperate in the need of assistance.  We did some demolition, excevation, and reapir work and plan to return tommorow to wire their house.

Then it was off to Vacation Bible School.  Much more on that below.

Then returned to 99+1 for the evening meal and some excellent devotional time led by Dana.  Tommorow is "hump day" and we continue to pray that God continues to bless this mission.

This mornings food distribution and some wonderfull local people. Kathi's abundance of hugs is getting a workout down here with these little ones.

Pastor Octavio in Prayer with a group during food distribution. We witnessed 6 people coming to the Lord today.

Pastor Octavio and one of the other "Gringo" pastors during food distribution. There is a large group of pastors from the USA here working together to bring Christ to these lovely people.

The Light House. One of the most recognized land marks in the area.

Dana, Felicia, Pastor Terry, and Kaylee pulling down a wall for a multi-generational family who is reciving some much needed aid.

Jan and Christi. Jan doesn't discriminate about who she loafs with.

Kids and adults getting ready to start today's VBS.

More kids and adults getting ready for today's VBS. We had 15 more children today than yesterday. These kids seem to really have a good time learning about Jesus.

Pastoro Roberto leading the singing at VBS.

David and his new best friend Ruben.

These children really respond to love and affection.  Any inkling of a language barrier is quickly broken.  Of course we are learing Spanish more each day just to communicate with these wonderful people.
